We may not all be native New Yorkers here at Ashworth Creative, but we sure have embraced it.
That’s why we love Time Out Magazine‘s list of the 100 best films shot in New York City. They range from movies like 1984’s C.H.U.D. to Black Swan.
While all the movies on the list capture New York’s iconic image quite well, Flavorwire decided those 100 weren’t quite enough. Deputy Editor and writer, Judy Berman, compiled a list of 10 more classically NYC films. However, these 10 are what she calls “counterculture” films.
“We’re fans of just about everything they [Time Out Magazine] selected. But our most beloved films about the city will always have to do with its ever-changing countercultures…”
