HUMANIZING THE TOPIC OF DIVORCE

Collaborative Divorce is a different approach to divorce, offering couples an opportunity to separate with a minimum of bitterness and animosity. Despite it being a more reasonable option than litigation, the public needed basic information about how this process works and benefits the divorcing spouses. Ashworth Creative was commissioned by the Hudson Valley Collaborative Divorce & Dispute Resolution Association (HVCDDRA) to create a website that communicates those benefits to prospective divorcees.

THE WEBSITE HOUSES AN ASSOCIATION'S RECRUITMENT AND MEMBERSHIP

The goal of the CollabDivorce-NY website was not just to inform and attract potential clients but also to serve as an organizational hub for the association. In addition to the inviting and clever graphics and compelling content, the admin houses a system for adding new members, sorting them in to professional areas – attorneys, mental health and financial professionals – an accounting system to enable members to pay their dues online and allow for their photos, accreditations and bios to be visible on the front end of the site.

OUTCOMES

Collaborative Divorce is known for producing better lasting relationships within the families who dissolve their marriage using this means instead of fighting it out in divorce court. The members of the HVCDDRA are frequently asked to speak nationally and internationally on the subject. The group was one of the earliest adopters of this approach to marriage settlement and both the group and their individual practices continue to grow.
