Consistent imagery and cohesive content give community college distinctive look and feel

BUILDING A BRAND VOCABULARY FOR A HIGHER EDUCATION CLIENT

Initially, in 2015 Ashworth Creative was awarded a 3-year contract to refresh college graphics and web properties to meet the goals of Dr. Belinda S. Miles, President of Westchester Community College(WC). Among the marketing tools created by Ashworth are parent guides, viewbooks, postcard and tri-fold mailers, campus signage, annual reports, scholarship guides and digital templates for Adobe and Microsoft Office programs. In 2018, Ashworth Creative’s contract with WCC was renewed and our productive partnership continues.

HITTING THE RIGHT NOTES WITH DIVERSE TARGET AUDIENCES

To promote admissions for a variety of student profiles, Ashworth provides design, strategy and copywriting services for multiple communications, including credit-side mailers, high school mailers, completion and retention pieces, scholarship materials and recruitment templates. Through SUNY WCC’s publications department, Ashworth provides services for an array of on-campus ‘clients’, with admissions being a frequent collaborator. Our extensive partnership has provided us with exceptional context and understanding of offering creative services within the SUNY bid system, as well as calendaring and budgetary sensitivity that allows us to be effective partners.

FINDING NEW WAYS OF REACHING OUT TO POTENTIAL STUDENTS, THEIR PARENTS AND ALUMNI

A lot of thoughts go through the mind of a prospective community college student. In designing a student recruitment direct mail piece, Ashworth Creative took a students’ perspective and addressed those questions fully. The mailer appeals both to prospects who want to train for immediate workforce readiness, and those who want to go on to even higher degrees. The mail piece was attractive and cost effective – just like Westchester Community College.
