Some search engines, such as Google, indicate that if a web page links to another web page, then the page is referring it or saying this is a good page to visit. This process of one website page linking or passing to another web page helps the original website to rank higher or obtain a higher number value.
- Link Reputation are words that another site uses to describe a website. This description is done through the use of backlinks, which means the links that point back to the original website. For example, your website is about buying new cars. The website backlink text or hyper link text or anchor text has the keyword new cars. The search engine may base on the keyword in the backlink new cars, associate the phrase "new cars" with your website, www.newcars.sample. The use and association of the keyword in the anchor text helps to generate higher search engine rankings based on that keyword.
