branding case study 1: Abilities First
Abilities First (previously Rehab Programs), the largest non-for-profit in Poughkeepsie, New York, is an 11-location organization in Dutchess County serving people with disabilities of all ages, and their families. The organization is a community of teachers, social workers and people motivated by being part of something important and bigger than themselves.
The Case:
- To change their name, Rehab Programs
- To reposition themselves as the leading agency serving people with disabilities and their families
- To have a name, tagline, logo and website that reflected who they were and what they do
- To incorporate the thoughts and ideas representing a committee of 20+
The Process:
- Prepared the group of 20 to work together with us creatively through creative games
- Gathered ideas of the group and came back with names, taglines and words that eventually led to Abilities First
- Seamlessly created a group of graphic concepts, all of which were admired by the group
- Developed marketing materials, website and a stationary system using the branding guide developed by Ashworth Creative
